Job Warning: Your service provider has implemented backup files protection against deletion by an insider for this cloud repository
Backup Copy jobs may display the following warning -
Your service provider has implemented backup files protection against deletion by an insider for this cloud repository.
What this means -
TIMG enables an insider protection feature for our clients which prevents against accidental deletion or malicious action by placing the files in the recycle bin folder. This is usually kept for the set period between 7-14 days. To utilize this feature, you need to have GFS enabled on your backup chain, contrary to the current forever forward incremental method (i.e. one full and only incrementals)
The options to resolve this warning are -
1) Enable GFS
This can be done by editing the copy job and under Target, selecting the box to keep full backups for archival purposes and configuring GFS

2. If you do not want to enable GFS, we can uncheck insider protection from your TIMG Cloud Repository and the warning will be resolved. This will no longer place the files in the recycle bin folder upon deletion.
Please reach out to TIMG support at
edpsupport@timg.com and let us know if you would like insider protection removed and we can make the change for you, thanks.
